International Relations
The aim of the Postgraduate Course in International Relations is a series of highly qualified courses in the fields of politics, law, economics, and history. Particular attention is paid to developing graduates’ understanding of the international framework of political, economic, and social phenomena. The course is therefore characterized by an interdisciplinary and open approach to international issues.
Courses are taught with particular attention to current developments and phenomena in each field, and students are always encouraged to cultivate their own critical approach, express their abilities, and follow trends.
Students bring different backgrounds, upbringings, and educational characteristics in class and in post-class conflicts.
The course puts together the institutional perspective of a school of government and the empirical, in-the-field approach of business studies – many interdisciplinary, highly interwoven opportunities for the ideal cultural equipment to those interested as a vocation in decoding the complexities of our world and in taking part in its processes.
There is various curriculum taught which ranges from international politics and economic relations / IPER, International economic relations / IER, International politics / IP, Diplomacy and International Organizations, International trade and European integration, international cooperation, and human rights.
Career-wise, International Relations graduates acquire the knowledge that allows them to pursue careers in international and supranational organizations as well as in diplomacy, in national and multinational companies active in foreign trade, in public and private institutions active in the field of development cooperation, and in national and supranational financial institutions.
The interdisciplinary features, as well as the traditional international enrollment of this course, are meant to guarantee enhanced employability of the successful students so improving their chances on the labor market be it in Italy or abroad.
The course offers different programs enabling to development of highly profiled professionals with leadership and managerial skills able to work within Ministries (particularly the Ministry of Foreign Affair), international GOs and NGOs, globally oriented private and public businesses, and international cooperation agencies.
